BOOKINGS AND CANCELLATION POLICY FOR SCHEDULED TOURS

Bookings can be considered confirmed only after payment has been completed within 24 hours of the reservation being made. Reservations will only be held for 24 hours. The prices appearing on the website are the current rates and can change with no prior notice. Once a Customer has booked a tour with Yomp and Chomp, the Customer will not be required to pay any difference in the event of a price increase and Yomp and Chomp will not refund the balance of any price reduction. All prices are per person unless otherwise stated.

 

Booking Validity

Customers must bring their booking confirmation to the tour. The Tour Guide will have a list of people who are expected, but your booking confirmation will be required to confirm payment, and may be necessary in the event of last minute bookings and/or booking error. Your booking confirmation entitles the named Customer to join the tour on the date specified. It cannot be used for another person, or for another day.

Personal Safety

Each Customer is responsible for maintaining their own safety, always. By agreeing to take part on the tour, all Customers are agreeing to listen to the safety instructions given by the Guide and to exercise due care and attention whilst walking. Yomp and Chomp will require any person to be excluded from a tour if the Yomp and Chomp Guide deems a guest’s conduct to be offensive or a nuisance to other participants. Yomp and Chomp reserves the right to refuse access to participate on a tour should circumstances be deemed to compromise tour safety. Dogs are not permitted on the tour for this reason, (except for Guide/Assistance Dogs) and because they will be denied entry into some of the venues.

Cancellations

If one of our food tours is rescheduled, changed or moved, Yomp and Chomp will give you the option of either retaining or exchanging your tickets for a new date/tour, or alternatively claiming a full refund.

In the unlikely event that a food tour is cancelled by Yomp and Chomp you will be refunded in full.

Cancellation of a Yomp and Chomp tour is accepted with at least 7 days’ notice, an admin fee of £10 per ticket is payable on cancellation.

Between 6 and 3 days’ notice: 50% of ticket price can be refunded.

2 days’ notice or less of cancellation: No money can be refunded.

We will endeavour to accommodate a rescheduled walking tour for you with up to 2 days’ notice. But if cancellation of the re scheduled date occurs, the guest will not be liable to a refund, even when giving 2 days’ notice.

 

Refunds

If for any reason you are entitled to a refund, we will refund your booking with Yomp and Chomp in the same way as you made payment.

Refunds will only be given on the ticket price, not on any other costs incurred.

 

Attending a Food Tour

Before you finalise your booking, please read all the information that applies to the event. If you or any member of your party have special requirements, please raise these when booking and we will endeavour to assist. There is no guarantee that requirements can be met if not notified at the time of booking.

The foods served on our tours will comprise, meat, vegetables, fish, eggs and dairy products. Therefore there may be traces of nuts, and other allergens. Please ask at the time of booking if you have any dietary issues. When you receive your booking confirmation please check the details carefully. When attending a Yomp and Chomp Tour, please carry proof of age if appropriate. The tour will start at the time stated. Make sure you arrive on time as we cannot wait due to time constraints on the Yomp and Chomp Tours.  Call 0044(0)7527561831 before the tour begins, if you will be delayed or if you cannot find us. We may be able to let you know where to meet the group en route so that you can catch up, but this is not guaranteed. The guide may not be able to answer their phone to give you directions you once the tour has started. We do not offer refunds to people who miss the tour because they are late. Southampton has regular road and transport closures due to engineering works and other events. You are responsible for making allowances for any potential delays to your arrival.

 

The Tour

Please wear sensible shoes for a walking tour as some of the areas we visit have cobbled streets and uneven pavements due to the historical age of the sites.

Please take care when walking especially when pavements are wet or icy.

Tours go out in all weathers so please dress appropriately.

Tours cross roads at authorised crossing points wherever possible, but please do take care to check for road safety.

The tour covers about 1.5 miles to 2 miles, mainly on level ground, but with some cobbles. There are stops every 15 to 20 minutes the majority of venues have seating and toilet facilities. If you feel you would need any assistance to take part in this tour, please let us know in advance so suitable planning can be put in place.

 

Alcohol

If anyone is considered to be (by the guide) under the influence of drugs or alcohol when arriving at the tour starting point, we reserve the right not to take them on the tour and the right not to offer a refund.

There are three alcoholic drinks served on some tours, so proof of age will be required if you look under the age of 25.

We do not recommend driving immediately after taking this tour if you take part in the drink tastings.

Water can be provided as an alternative to alcoholic drinks.

 

Content and Menus

Yomp and Chomp reserves the right to alter or change the menu in case of non-availability of a product or venues in the case of any not being available on the date of the tour.

 

Timings

The length of the tour may vary depending on how many people are in the group, and service times in restaurants. Whilst the guide endeavors to keep the tour to time, you may need to leave extra time at end of the tour before arranging another event. Please contact us before booking to discuss finish times on the day you wish to book.

 

Liability

Yomp and Chomp excludes all liability for any loss, damage to personal property or injury to you, howsoever caused, but does not exclude liability, where any death or injury is caused by the negligence of Yomp and Chomp. Please take care of all personal property. Yomp and Chomp will not be liable for any theft, loss, damage, delay, inconvenience, direct or consequential loss, however caused. Unless due to negligence by Yomp and Chomp in which case our liability is limited (except for death or personal injury) to a maximum of the refund of the ticket price.

 

Data Protection & Photography

Personal data shall be processed in accordance with the Company’s Data Protection Policy. Photographs and video footage may be taken during the events for promotional or editorial purposes. These images may be used online or in printed matter. If you do not want images of yourself or your clients to be used, please let us know in writing in advance of the event.

 

Indemnity

Yomp and Chomp may hold you liable for any loss, expenses (including but not limited to reasonable legal costs and disbursements), losses and damages arising from or incurred by reason of any claims, demands, actions that arise because of your breach of these terms and conditions. This indemnity shall not apply to the extent any such claim or demand or action arises because of the Company’s breach of these terms and conditions.
